New York, NY – Mortgage Industry Advisory Corporation (MIAC) is pleased to announce that its whole loan desk, completed the sale of approximately $52mm of seasoned, first lien HELOCs. The sale consisted of both performing and non-performing mortgages. The seller is a large bank and the buyer is a large fund who regularly transacts via MIAC.
The successful execution of this loan sale represents another important transaction for MIAC Capital Markets, building on 2016’s success. This sale demonstrates MIAC’s ability to continually execute on unique collateral and satisfy a niche in the whole loan market. This was the final population for the Seller, allowing them to streamline their mortgage book and servicing operations.
