MIAC Completes SAS 70 Type II Review in Support of Client Compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley

MIAC has received a SAS-70, Type 2 Service Auditor Report from a nationally recognized accounting firm. Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), SAS 70 is an internationally recognized auditing standard and the authoritative guidance that allows service organizations to disclose their control activities and processes to their customers and their customers' auditors in a uniform reporting format. In particular, SAS-70 has become instrumental in enabling public companies (user organizations) to complete their compliance procedures for Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. The scope of the SAS-70 covered select internal control objectives and related controls deemed most significant in the services MIAC provides to its customers.
