VP of Due Diligence Sales & Marketing will be responsible for business development activities related to the Due Diligence Group at MIAC. This will include client outreach and management, statement of work and pricing negotiations, licensing agreement negotiation as it relates to our due diligence services as well as licensing of VeriFi- MIAC’s due diligence software platform and other duties as assigned. The position will report to the Managing Director of Due Diligence.

Position Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify key business / segment prospects
  • Contribute to overall department objectives / goals based on ‘global knowledge’ of industry and organizational strategic issues
  • Provide management oversight and serves as subject matter/technical expert on multiple complex business processes
  • Assist with core financial due diligence, helping to identify key risks and potential deal breakers, assess the strengths and weaknesses of the business against industry benchmarks, and assist with the evaluation of the potential transaction in the context of their clients’ investment strategy
  • Participate in meetings and conference calls with target company management and with client personnel and serve as a secondary point of contact for client personnel with respect to day-to-day execution matters. Between transactions, the candidate will assist with building / maintaining client relationships
Desired Qualifications:

The candidate should have a working knowledge of a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures including:

  • Five+ years’ experience in residential due diligence
  • Experience interacting with mid to senior level management at investment banks, hedge funds, and other financial organizations
  • Working knowledge with residential loan underwriting, due diligence on MSR and whole loan transactions, and loan quality requirements
  • Demonstrated successful sales and marketing experience
  • Compliance, QC and Underwriting knowledge, and operational project management experience
  • Ability to travel on short term notice
  • Ability to clear Government background check
