The Quantitative Developer position reports through the Software Development group within MIAC as it relates to development practices, technical approach, and general development priorities. However, the position will be functionally managed as part of a cross-functional team led by the business sponsors for each specific development project assigned to this person.

Position Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop a core library of analytics in fixed income and derivatives used for valuation and risk management
  • Maintain installation, configuration, and support of applications through practices and industry standards
  • Work as part of a distributed, collaborative & innovative team
  • Utilize and apply knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
  • Solve and assist with technical troubleshooting issues

Desired Qualifications:

The candidate should have a working knowledge of a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures including:

  • Strong stochastic calculus, derivatives, and C++/C# object-oriented level programming
  • Knowledge of interest rate model (LIBOR market model) and credit models
  • Excellent financial mathematics (Brownian motion, PDE, probability)
  • Knowledge of Numerical Analysis
  • An advanced degree in a quantitative subject such as Engineering, Software Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics is a plus
  • Strong communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with analysts and programmers
  • 3-5 years’ experience preferred
