This position falls under the Product Management and Support Group within MIAC. Product Management is generally responsible for:

  • Application Support and Installation (Internal/External)
  • Client Conversions
  • Documentation
  • Training
  • Marketing Support/Application Demos
  • Application Management (i.e., enhancements, testing, etc.)

The Support Group works closely with the Capital Market Group, Client Services Group, Secondary Solutions Group, and Marketing and Business Development as the needs arises. Additionally, the team has regular interaction with Development, IT and MIAC Senior Management for special projects and general internal/external support iussues (i.e., non-application based issues).

The Role You Will Play

Key responsibilities include managing and maintaining software documentation for all MIAC applications; this includes:

  • Ensuring user guides, release notes, cash flow reconciliation tools, table structures and
    sample portfolios are created in conjunction with application releases
  • Making documentation readily available on intranet and corporate website for access by
    internal and external users
  • Working with the Support Team to review support cases for opportunities to
    update/enhance documentation based on trends in internal/external support issues
  • Enhancing both the documentation process and the structure of the documentation to
    promote consistency, improve flow, and expand usability
  • Assisting Support Group in development and maintenance of on‐line knowledge base to
    increase ability of all users to self‐serve when support issues arise
  • Interfacing with QA, Development, CMG and other groups in support of documentation
  • Coordinating with Marketing Team to apply consistent and appropriate formatting to all
  • Evaluating tools available for development and maintenance of software documentation
    for ease of use and integration with applications (i.e., help files); compare to existing
  • Reviewing and editing portions of documentation and manuals written by others

Desired Qualifications

The candidate should have working knowledge of a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures including:

  • 10+ years of experience in the financial services space, mortgage banking and consumer
    finance a plus
  • Familiarity with data management and cash flow valuation tools
  • Established procedure of production of user manuals for both internal and external
  • Experience working across several departments and supporting sales teams
  • Proven successful track record with enhancing customer experience
  • Highly motivated and comfortable working in a dynamic environment
  • Strong writing and communication skills
